This policy has been revised from the original September 1, 2020 version to comply with Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Guideline 5.1.1) and Google Play Store Developer Policy requirements, as well as current U.S. privacy law. All substantive data practices remain unchanged.

1. Introduction

CK Systems, Inc. (Chicken Kitchen, “we,” “our,” or “us”) values its users’ privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) will help you understand how we collect and use personal information from those who visit our website or make use of our online facilities and services, and what we will and will not do with the information we collect. Our Policy has been designed and created to ensure those affiliated with CK Systems, Inc. of our commitment and realization of our obligation not only to meet, but to exceed, most existing privacy standards.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Policy at any given time. If you want to make sure that you are up to date with the latest changes, we advise you to frequently visit this page. If at any point in time CK Systems, Inc. decides to make use of any personally identifiable information on file in a manner vastly different from that which was stated when this information was initially collected, the user or users shall be promptly notified by email. Users at that time shall have the option as to whether to permit the use of their information in this separate manner.

This Policy applies to CK Systems, Inc. and governs any and all data collection and usage by us. Through the use of our website and mobile application, you are consenting to the data collection procedures expressed in this Policy.

Specifically, this Policy will inform you of the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you through our Services;
  • Why we collect personally identifiable information and the legal basis for such collection;
  • How we use the collected information and with whom it may be shared;

2. Information We Collect

It is always up to you whether to disclose personally identifiable information to us, although if you elect not to do so, we reserve the right not to register you as a user or provide you with any products or services. Our Services collect various types of information:

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account & Identity: name, email address, phone number, password — collected at account registration.
  • Order & Payment: delivery address, order history, payment method type (we do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by a PCI-compliant third party) — collected when you place an order.
  • Loyalty & Rewards: points balance, redemption history, promotional preferences — collected at loyalty program enrollment.
  • Communications: messages, feedback, survey responses, support requests — collected when you contact us.
  • SMS / Short Code Program: mobile number, opt-in consent — collected at text message sign-up.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our Site or use our App, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Device & Technical Data: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers (including IDFA on iOS and Android Advertising ID), hardware model, browser type, IP address
  • Usage Data: Pages or screens viewed, features used, session duration, tap/click interactions, order flow actions
  • Location Data: With your permission, precise GPS location to support store-finding, delivery address suggestions, and location-relevant offers. You may deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings
  • Log Data: Timestamps, referring URLs, error logs, server logs
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: Session and persistent cookies, pixel tags — see Section 8 for details

iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): For users on iOS 14.5 and later, we request your permission before tracking your activity across other apps and websites for advertising purposes. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Denying tracking does not affect core app features like ordering or loyalty rewards.

Location and Geo-Location Data

1. Location-Based Services

We process your geo-location information in order to provide you with localized offers, regional discounts, and promotions which are based on your location (“Location-Based Services”). These services apply whenever your location is made available to us.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processors: Transaction confirmation and fraud signals
  • Delivery partners: Order status and driver location for order tracking
  • Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and others): If you interact with our social features, those platforms may collect your IP address; governed by their own privacy policies, not ours
  • Analytics and advertising partners: Aggregated or pseudonymized performance data

CK Systems, Inc. may also collect non-personal anonymous demographic information, such as age, gender, household income, type of browser, IP address, or type of operating system, to assist in providing and maintaining superior quality service.

3. Why We Collect Your Information & How Long We Keep It

3.1 Purposes

We are collecting your data for the following reasons:

  • To better understand your needs and provide you with the services you have requested
  • To process and fulfill your orders, including payments and delivery
  • To create and manage your account and loyalty rewards
  • To fulfill our legitimate interest in improving our services and products
  • To send you promotional emails containing information we think you may like, when we have your consent to do so
  • To contact you to fill out surveys or participate in other types of market research, when we have your consent to do so
  • To customize our website and app according to your online behavior and personal preferences
  • To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with the law

SMS / Short Code Program: Data obtained through the short code program will not be shared with any third parties for their marketing reasons or purposes, consistent with our original policy commitment.

3.2 How Long We Keep Your Data

The data we collect from you will be stored for no longer than necessary. Specific retention periods:

  • Active account data: retained while your account is open.
  • Order history: 7 years (tax and legal compliance).
  • Marketing preferences & consent records: until you opt out or delete your account.
  • Analytics / log data: 24 months; anonymized after 12 months.
  • Payment transaction records: as required by PCI DSS and applicable law.

The length of time we retain information will be determined based upon: the length of time your personal information remains relevant; any limitation periods within which claims might be made; any retention periods prescribed by law or recommended by regulators; the type of contract we have with you; and the existence of your consent.

4. Use of Information Collected

CK Systems, Inc. does not now, nor will it in the future, sell, rent or lease any of its customer lists and/or names to any third parties.

CK Systems, Inc. may collect and make use of personal information to assist in the operation of our website and app and to ensure delivery of the services you need and request. At times, we may find it necessary to use personally identifiable information as a means to keep you informed of other possible products and/or services that may be available to you from chickenkitchen.com.

CK Systems, Inc. may also be in contact with you with regards to completing surveys and/or research questionnaires related to your opinion of current or potential future services that may be offered.

CK Systems, Inc. uses various third-party social media features including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and other interactive programs. These may collect your IP address and require cookies to work properly. These services are governed by the privacy policies of the providers and are not within CK Systems, Inc.’s control.

5. Disclosure of Information

CK Systems, Inc. may not use or disclose the information provided by you except under the following circumstances:

  • As necessary to provide services or products you have ordered
  • In other ways described in this Policy or to which you have otherwise consented
  • In the aggregate with other information in such a way so that your identity cannot reasonably be determined
  • As required by law, or in response to a subpoena or search warrant
  • To outside auditors who have agreed to keep the information confidential
  • As necessary to enforce the Terms of Service
  • As necessary to maintain, safeguard and preserve all the rights and property of CK Systems, Inc.

All third parties who receive your personal data are contractually required to protect it to the same standard described in this Policy, consistent with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(ii) and Google Play Developer Policy requirements.

6. Your Choices & Privacy Rights

6.1 Unsubscribe or Opt-Out

All users and visitors to our website have the option to discontinue receiving communications from us:

  • Email: Click “Unsubscribe” in any marketing email, or send an email to [email protected]
  • SMS: Reply STOP to any text message from us
  • Push notifications: Disable in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Notifications; Android: Settings > Apps)
  • Third-party websites: To opt out from any third-party websites, you must go to that specific website to unsubscribe or opt-out. CK Systems, Inc. will continue to adhere to this Policy with respect to any personal information previously collected. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages about your orders.

6.2 Location & Ad Tracking

  • Precise location: Revoke permission anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services or Android Settings > Location
  • Ad tracking (iOS): iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
  • Ad tracking (Android): Android Settings > Privacy > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization

6.3 Account Deletion

If you have created an account in our App, you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. To delete your account: go to App Settings > Account > Delete Account, or email [email protected] with the subject “Account Deletion Request.” We will process your request within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., order records for tax purposes). 6.4 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights:

  • Right to Know: Request disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sharing: We do not sell personal information. California residents may opt out of sharing for advertising purposes by emailing [email protected] with subject “Do Not Share My Personal Information”
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you services or charge different prices because you exercised a privacy right.

7. Non-Marketing Purposes

CK Systems, Inc. greatly respects your privacy. We do maintain and reserve the right to contact you if needed for non-marketing purposes (such as bug alerts, security breaches, account issues, and/or changes in CK Systems, Inc. products and services). In certain circumstances, we may use our website, newspapers, or other public means to post a notice.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website and app use the following types of tracking technologies:

  • Essential / Session Cookies: Required for login, shopping cart, and security. Cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality.
  • Analytics: Tools such as Google Analytics or Firebase to understand usage patterns. Data is aggregated and pseudonymized.
  • Advertising SDKs: Used to measure advertising campaign effectiveness and, with your consent, to serve relevant ads on third-party platforms.
  • Social Media Pixels: Facebook, Instagram, and similar platforms may use pixels that collect your IP address. These are governed by those platforms’ own privacy policies.
  • Crash Reporting: Tools to detect and diagnose technical issues in the App.

Information automatically collected when visiting our website may include cookies, third-party tracking technologies, and server logs. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings. On mobile, you can limit ad tracking as described in Section 6.2.

9. Security

CK Systems, Inc. takes precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via our website or app, your information is protected both online and offline.

  • All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and “https” at the beginning of the address.
  • Payment data is processed by PCI DSS-compliant processors — we do not store full card numbers.
  • Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
  • The computers and servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Security limitation: No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

10. Children Under the Age of 13

CK Systems, Inc.’s website and app are not directed to, and do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from, children under the age of thirteen (13). If it is determined that such information has been inadvertently collected on anyone under the age of thirteen (13), we shall immediately take the necessary steps to ensure that such information is deleted from our system’s database, or in the alternative, that verifiable parental consent is obtained for the use and storage of such information. Anyone under the age of thirteen (13) must seek and obtain parent or guardian permission to use our Services.

11. Links to Other Websites

Our website does contain links to affiliate and other websites. CK Systems, Inc. does not claim nor accept responsibility for any privacy policies, practices and/or procedures of other such websites. Therefore, we encourage all users and visitors to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy statements of every website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies only and solely to the information collected by our Services.

12. Notice to International Users

CK Systems, Inc.’s operations are located primarily in the United States. If you provide information to us, the information will be transferred out of your home country and sent to the United States.

Notice to EU / UK users: The EU-US Privacy Shield framework referenced in our original 2020 policy was invalidated in July 2020. We now rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as the legal basis for transferring personal data to the United States. By using our Services, you acknowledge that your data will be processed in the U.S. under the safeguards described in this Policy.

13. App Store & Play Store Disclosures

13.1 Apple App Store — Privacy Nutrition Label Summary

  • Data Used to Track You: device identifiers (IDFA), only with ATT consent — used for advertising measurement.
  • Data Linked to You: name, email, phone, location, order history, device ID — used for ordering, loyalty, account, and support.
  • Data Not Linked to You: crash logs, performance diagnostics, aggregated analytics — used for app improvement.

13.2 Google Play Store — Data Safety Summary

  • Data collected: Location (with permission), name, email, phone, order/payment info (type only), app activity, device identifiers
  • Data shared: With delivery partners (name, address, phone) and advertising partners (pseudonymized identifiers, with opt-out)
  • Security: Data encrypted in transit; account deletion available in-app and via email
  • Data not sold: We do not sell your personal information

14. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or mobile application, you are hereby accepting the terms and conditions stipulated within this Privacy Policy Agreement. If you are not in agreement with our terms and conditions, then you should refrain from further use of our Services. In addition, your continued use of our website or app following the posting of any updates or changes to our terms and conditions shall mean that you agree and acceptance of such changes.
